The best aspect of Salem’s Essex Street, apart from the cobblestone pavers, is the vegan food options.
Red Line Cafe – 188 Essex Street
The perfect spot to hold up in on a rainy afternoon. I popped in for a snack after my psychic reading with Lorelai at Crow Haven Corner.
The friendly young ladies behind the counter made me a delicious latte with the almond milk single I had stashed in my purse.
Life Alive – 281 Essex Street
Further down Essex Street, there is an amazing and nourish vegan whole food restaurant. The lights are low, the atmosphere is soothing and the food is prepared with conscious intention.
Gulu Gulu Cafe – 247 Essex Street
Even further down Essex St, you’ll come to the Bewitched statue. Behind it is a hipster pizza shop called Flying Saucer Pizza Co., which offers Vegan pies.
Next door is their sister business GuluGulu Cafe with even more vegan options.
Question of the Day:
Which city is your favorite to food crawl?
